CO2, 2014

In October 2014 the performance was presented within  Contemporary Dance night. It is a short dance video  directed and performed by Mohamed El-Deep. 

The concept revolves around the fight for freedom and  space. “The less space we had, the less Oxygen we  possessed, and more CO2.” The performance describes a  fight for freedom through symbolic acts of breathing, and  shows struggle of an individual to maintain space and its  dignity. “The CO2 suddenly became the new solution to  breath, as symbolic representation of one's transformation  and fight for survival.”
